In my artwork, I am interested in the collection of small ‘wholes’ that make up any entity. Everything we can see contains hundreds of smaller, complete images which can then join together to form new images, and these new images can combine to form other, different images. As a result, I work a lot with layering and⁄or with many small canvases or boards which together form the final artwork. Every part and layer constitute separate units, while remaining integral facets of the whole.

Each artwork, therefore, contains as many perspectives as there are small, complete images, and the changes regarding the grouping of these images, based on individual perspective or choice, means that there must exist a constant movement or ‘flow’ within the work itself.

I work mainly in oils, but as I am also a printmaker, I often combine painting and printmaking in the one work. Many of my works are large scale. The links on the right connect with a selection of my artwork within a selection of themes.
