No one worried about them, because there was no reason to worry. After Graeme Thorne things <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">slowly <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">began to change. The kidnapping <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">became a line between innocence and the loss of innocence.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-style: normal; line-height: 200%; margin-bottom: 0cm; text-decoration: none;\" align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin-bottom: 0cm; text-decoration: none;\" align=\"left\"><a style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-PmVGFW0FCYA\/VvR8bOYcaQI\/AAAAAAAACTs\/FcADiKME85wAtD_avA1E3G3EGZIDI2GAA\/s1600\/Kidnapped-Bradley.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-PmVGFW0FCYA\/VvR8bOYcaQI\/AAAAAAAACTs\/FcADiKME85wAtD_avA1E3G3EGZIDI2GAA\/s400\/Kidnapped-Bradley.jpeg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">Mark Tedeschi QC was also a child at the time of the kidnapping and <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">was obviously affected by the crime. His book, written with the added perception of his many years in the field of law, is <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">balanced, well presented, well researched, <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">well written<\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\"> and, at all times, <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">interesting. <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">He goes to <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">great <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">lengths (both <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">in <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">the Preface and in the chapter entitled Hypotheses and Syntheses) to explain that there are certain aspects of Stephen Bradley&#8217;s story that no one can possibly know for certain and <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">that <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">he <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">therefore based<\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\"> Bradley&#8217;s motivation and thought processes on what he managed to learn about the perpetrator, together with his own years of experience in dealing with the criminal mind.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><a style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-3S1nVBTWua8\/VvR8bT_-dMI\/AAAAAAAACT4\/OHZhkd9krKQ1FReECTCV3MEjepC_YYNvg\/s1600\/kidnapped-parents.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-3S1nVBTWua8\/VvR8bT_-dMI\/AAAAAAAACT4\/OHZhkd9krKQ1FReECTCV3MEjepC_YYNvg\/s320\/kidnapped-parents.jpeg\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin-bottom: 0cm; text-decoration: none;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">There will be many readers of <\/span><i>Kidnapped <\/i><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">who, like myself, <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">kn<\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">o<\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">w the main points of the story before opening the first page, <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">and yet<\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\"> I would imagine that <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">Tedeschi manages to sustain both <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">their <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">interest and <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">their feelings of <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">suspense. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin-bottom: 0cm; text-decoration: none;\" align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin-bottom: 0cm; text-decoration: none;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">A book I would recommend, especially to anyone who <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">lived through those weeks when the kidnapping was front-page news <\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">but also for anyone interested in what it is that can motivate an ordinary person to commit a heinous crime<\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">As Tedeschi writes at the end of the book: &#8216;Murder for greed is essentially a crime born of an abject fear of nothingness&#8217;.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;
